Two men shot in Auburn, both in stable condition

An 18-year-old and a 50-year-old man were shot and airlifted to Harborview Medical Center.

AUBURN, Wash. — Two men were shot in Auburn, according to the Auburn Police Department, and are in stable condition.

Valley Fire Authority officials received an emergency call from a residence in the 3500 block of Orchard Place SE in Auburn to treat a 50-year-old man who had shortness of breath, difficulty speaking, and was coughing up blood — suffering a gunshot wound, fire medical evaluation confirmed.

Officers determined that a shooting had occurred at the residence, and the man was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center.

Meanwhile, an 18-year-old man, also with gunshot wounds, was brought to a nearby hospital in a vehicle.

Investigators on the scene determined that the two incidents were allegedly related, and took the vehicle into custody on the grounds that it contained evidence related to the shooting, Auburn PD officials said.

The 18-year-old was also transferred to Harborview Medical Center.

Additional information about the investigation will be released when available.
